This work focuses on applying modern molecular simulation techniques and ab initio methods, such as electronic density functional theory, to explore the synthesis of nanoporous aluminosilicates and their use as solid acid catalysts. Keywords: asymmetric catalysis; biocatalysis; continuous flow; microreactors; solid phase synthesis. Applications of homogeneous and heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis as well as biocatalysis in flow are discussed. The third part describes the synthesis of sulfated metal and mixed metal oxides and their use for selective dehydration of various biomass resources to levuninate esters. Currently biodiesel is produced from vegetable oil using liquid catalysts. The Pt–Co/C catalysts were synthesized through: (i) chemical oxidation of carbon black, (ii) Co deposition on the oxidized carbon using a chelation method, (iii) chemical treatment in an acidic medium to remove excess of Co on the carbon surface, (iv) Pt deposition onto the Co/C support, and (v) postheat treatment to form the Pt–Co alloy catalyst. Jones' research focuses on fundamental problems in understanding the chemical and physical properties of synthesized solid materials that are used for catalysis in the energy, fine chemical and pharmaceutical fields. The synthesized Pt–Co/C catalyst showed The archival version of this work was published in Electrochemical and Solid-State Letters. The reduction of oil resources and increasing petroleum price has led to the search for alternative fuel from renewable resources such as biodiesel. Efficiency of a solid polymer fuel dell operating on ethanol. Various preparation methods about 15 have been discussed which depicts clear idea about the dependence of catalytic activity and selectivity on way of preparation of catalyst. This is an important technique in pore-size engineering for the production of zeolitic adsorbents (Breck, 1974).
